Ben Salmon
Partner, Avila Capital
CEO & Founder, Assetz Property Group

Although invested across the spectrum of companies listed, Ben’s principal focus is on Assetz Property Group (Assetz), which he co-founded in 2005. While headquartered in Singapore, Assetz is a front-runner among multinational developers in India with more than 1 million square meters under development. Assetz’s business opportunity has largely centred around the boom in the “outsourcing/BPO” sector, primarily in Bangalore, and the need for large business parks for “IT” type usage. Additionally, however, in response to the demand generated by population and job creation growth associated with that boom, Assetz has expanded activities to include the development of Commercial, Residential, Warehousing/Industrial, along with Fund Management.

Ben has a Masters in Project Management and a Masters in Business with a specialisation in Property. Ben is a Fellow of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
